Guided Snowshoe Hike at Lake Wenatchee State Park
Washington State Parks invites the public to participate in a family-friendly guided snowshoe hike at Lake Wenatchee.
What: Join Park Staff as we embark on a fantastic hike for first-timers in snowshoes, or hikers looking for a mellow adventure through a frosty winter wonderland! This hike is easy-moderate with varying views, plenty of opportunities for snowball fights and memorable photos.
Length: Hike duration is dependent upon hiker preference: the shortest option is a 1.4 mile route, the longest option is a 2.4+ mile loop. As a group, we will stop at a designated intersection nin order to orient those choosing the longer route, while Park Staff will continue leading the shorter route. Each hike will take a halfway break at the North Beach for a group photo and chance to grab a snack and explore around the area before continuing on.
Bring: Layered clothing, snowshoes, poles, boots, snacks, water and an adventurous spirit!
When: 1:00 p.m. Snowshoers should arrive early enough to prepare for a prompt departure at 1:00 p.m., including obtaining and becoming familiar with snowshoe rentals if arranged ahead of time.
