Lake Wenatchee State Park

Park Information
Date: May 15, 2013
General Information / Area Closures: Clean up continues daily from a severe winter storm that occurred in December. The storm resulted in hundreds of trees falling across park roads, trails, and campgrounds. Park Staff and volunteers are busy repairing damage and hauling slash while a commercial timber salvage continues. Currently the South Campground remains closed. Camping available in the North Park. See below for more camping information.
Volunteers: We are looking for more volunteers over the next few weeks to help us clean up from the storm and timber salvage. It’s simple work – raking and piling sticks and debris. We’ve logged many hundreds of hours of volunteer and staff time to date in hopes of being fully re-opened for Memorial Day Weekend. Give us a call if you’d like to help! (509) 763-3101
Discover Passes are required for all vehicles within the State Park. You may buy $30 Annual Discover Passes at the park, locally at the Midway Grocery, statewide at any location that sells fishing and hunting licenses, or online at http://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/ You may also purchase one when you renew your vehicle license. $10 Daily passes and Annual passes are available in the park at self-registration pay stations and our new credit card ticket dispenser.
Current weather conditions as measured in the North Park can be found at the weather station, for weather forecasts for the area visit National Weather Service Point Forecast. For general information about the park visit the Lake Wenatchee State Park website.
Camping: Camping is currently available in the North Park area. The reservation season is underway – recommended for any weekend of stay of longer than one night. This area includes tent and RV hook-up sites.
Reservations: Campsite reservations can be made for dates between May 15 and September 30. Call 1-888-CAMPOUT (888-226-7688) or visit www.parks.wa.gov. Camping without a reservation is possible for single-night stays on weekdays, though for stays of more than one night reservations are usually needed. We have temporary restrictions on reserving sites in place due to the salvage logging operations this spring. Reservations can be made all 100 campsites in the North Park. Reservations are being accepted for sites 69 – 100 in the South Campground for dates after May 23rd, however, at this time, the park is not accepting reservations for the rest of the South Campground until after May 30. As soon as we know cleanup will be completed in these areas, we will reopen them for reservations. Updates will follow as the cleanup operation continues. Please contact the park by phone (509-763-3101) or email (vog.aw.skrapnull@eehctanew.ekal) for more information.
