Trailhead Lodge
Trailhead Lodge is a brand new hand hewn log lodge, using logs salvaged from the wildfires of 1994. Built in the style of the original Burgess family homestead, it features an expansive view of Plain’s Beaver Valley, a River Rock wood burning fireplace, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and a loft for a total guest capacity of 20.
The Chiwawa Basin Master bedroom features a spacious master bathroom with 2 person Jacuzzi jetted tub dividing the bathroom from the bedroom. Beautiful sliding pine log panel doors can be used for privacy. The bay window with sitting bench provides a wonderful view of the Burgess homestead meadow with Natapoc Mountain in the background. This bedroom sleeps up to 3 guests, either in 3 singles, or a king and one single.
Buck Pass bedroom also features a bay window overlooking the meadows and mountains. It also sleeps 3 guests, either in 3 singles, or a king and one single.
Flower Dome bedroom is a cozy bedroom that sleeps 2 guests, either in 2 singles, or a king.
High Pass bedroom is a fun bedroom that sleeps up to 5 guests. It has a queen bed, and a bunk bed with a double bed on the lower shelf, and a single bed on the upper shelf. Great for the kids. Or, if you prefer, just use it for fewer adults. Decorated in bright colors yet with “old fashioned” homestead flair.
The loft sleeps an additional 8 guests utilizing 8 single beds which can be converted to kings, which our staff will gladly make into any combination of comfortable king beds using 2 singles for each king. The loft also features a quiet sitting area with sofas and coffee table, and a business desk if you simply can’t leave that work at home. You can use your laptop to connect to our free wireless as well.
An open living room, dining room and kitchen make for wonderful group events.
In the center of all this open area is the huge river rock fireplaces that stretches all the way to the ceiling above the upstairs loft. For the sports or movie fan, a 60’ screen TV highlights the comfortable living room. The dining room seats 10 at a large table. The kitchen bar counter and a tall pub table provide for additional dining seats. The modern kitchen has a 6 burner gas stove, double door refrigerator, and all the modern conveniences, cookware, and place settings to furnish your home cooked meals. The view from the living room will provide hours of scenic enjoyment.
The huge outside deck complete with a barbecue and 2 deck tables, one with a propane fire pit make summer evenings delightful. Also on the deck is an 8 person hot tub, great all year. And, there is still room left for sunbathing, or hosting a social hour.
