The first session is scheduled for 1pm thursday January 24 and will cover using a GPS to locate those in need. Almost all Cell phones now broad cast a GPS location when 911 is called and this session will cover GPS maping and locating geared to those who have received their S&R certification. This course is free.

The second course will be head on Feb 12th. This is a training exercise for all S&R volunteers in Chelan County and will cover avalanche rescue, GPS, Incident Command Structure and coordination. This training is provided free by Chelan County to all certified S&R members and will depart from the Heliport in Wenatchee Tuesday Morning at 7:00 am.

If you are interested in joining the Lake Wenatchee Search & Rescue group, please contact me.
