Lake Wenatchee sockeye opening

Lake Wenatchee sockeye fishing opens August 6
For the first time since 2004, Lake Wenatchee sockeye salmon fishing will
open tomorrow (Aug. 6).
The daily fishery will close when the harvest quota is reached, likely on
short notice, said Jeff Korth, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife

Sockeye count at Tumwater dam

Received this yesterday (7-28-08) from Rollie Schmitten:
SOCKEYE UPDATE: As of yesterday (7/28) 19,148 sockeye have passed
Tumwater
Dam. The count per day appears to be dropping. Based on the 10 year
average
run timing about 85% of the current run have passed Tumwater Dam. Expanding

Fish Count > 13,000

Friday Morning Update:  official count now:  13645
While waiting for the offical tally to be updated we have learned the Sockeye count at Leavenworth is climbing nicely.  Keep those fingers crossed.
