Nason Spring Chinook Acclimation Facility

Construction crews began work in March on the new Nason Creek Acclimation Facility, located adjacent to Nason Creek at the Highway 2 Bridge (rivermile 82). The facility will rear spring Chinook throughout winter and early spring months until they are released into Nason Creek each May.

Another opportunity to help- Sunday May 19th

A River Road resident needs some storm clean-up help. Debbie and Bill Newell and their volunteer crew will be there Sunday to get it done. They will start at 1:00 PM Sunday, May 19th, at 18655 River Road. There will be chain saw work and lots of hauling of brush.

Forest Service Update

In the Lake Wenatchee area, the South Shore Road #6601 is closed at the end of the County Road due to trees fallen over the road. This road accesses the Hidden Lake Trailhead and the Glacier View Campground. The Hidden Lake Trail is also impassable due to the large number of trees across the trail. [...]
