The 2012 Sockey Season has been extended until Sept. 3 and the per day limit is 5 per license. That said, the fish quality has diminished significantly in the last week. We caught three this morning and all have turned quite soft and pink. ok for smoking but nothing like the firm bright orange filets we were enjoying two weeks ago. The fish are much harder to catch, depth 30′ to 85′.
Maybe it is time to let them all go up river for the party they have been waiting for…
