Forest Service Update 4pm 9/17/12
The Sears creek fire is currently 40-60 acres in size up above the Sears Creek/ Canyon creek area and will slowly back it’s way down toward the Sears Creek road. We have a 20 person crew and 2 Engine crews working along the road, preparing in the event the fire makes it there for possible firing operation or to allow the fire to back downhill to the road where it would be contained.
We are looking for contact names and phone numbers of Sears Creek residents, and for that matter White River residents to keep them informed and ask if they would allow for firefighters to complete ladder fuels reduction work on their property which may also include line construction.
