This morning (10/1/12) the Forest discussed the potential for turning over management of fires on the Wenatchee River Ranger District from the current type 1 incident management team to a local type 3 team as fires have been contained and much fire rehabilitation work has been accomplished. See the attached memo for containment and specific fire status. The plan to downsize the incident management structure also depends on how the fires react to the dry cold front passage forecast for Tuesday through Wednesday. I will try to get a more current fire map posted at Midway store showing results from infra red flights being flown to detect current fire perimeters
