I went to this event last year without much enthusiasm but left happy that I had gone. This is a great experience for families. There is much history to be seen in the way soldiers and families lived, the fashion along with the the deprivation & suffering too. The re-enactors live their role the whole weekend, staying in character by cooking and sleeping in their camps and wearing fashions of the times. There will be battle re-enactments at 11am and 3pm saturday, then again at 11am and 2pm on Sunday. Exhibits, camps, animals, etc will be there all day. There are concessions onsite. Admission including parking is $10 for adults. $5 for youths and seniors with children under 5 free
