BURN BAN IN PLACE

AS OF SEPT 18TH THERE IS A HIGH FIRE DANGER BURN BAN IN PLACE IN CHELAN COUNTY WHICH PROHIBITS:

Building, maintaining attending or using a fire, campfire, briquette fire or stove fire; except pressurized liquid gas stoves.  This ban is in immediate effect in all unincorporated areas of Chelan County through Oct 15th.  EXCEPTION:  This ban does not include barbeques at privately owned residences within the unincorporated areas.   Violators are subject to fines and/or imprisonment as stated in the Chelan County Criminal Code or 16 USC 551.

There is a public meeting about local fires today at 7pm at the Lake Wenatchee Rec Club
