US 2 between Coles Corner and Leavenworth is now re-opened after removal of the large boulder that had blocked it about a mile West of Leavenworth. Speed is reduced to 35 mph due to the temporary gravel road surface where the road surface was damaged by the boulder. Re-paving is expected to be done Monday morning which will result in short delays with flagger controlled single lane traffic during the paving operation. The speed limit will be restored to 50 mph when paving is complete on Monday.

It’s estimated to reopen around 4pm today (sunday).
Highway 2 is now open in both directions.
