The grooming team at the State Park has been working diligently to groom the cross country ski trails and the sledding hills. This years low snow fall has made this a challenge. Yesterday, the xc ski trails were in great shape. Snow Permits are now required at the Lake Wenatchee winter parking areas (North Shore, South Shore, Kahler Glen). The winter recreational program is %100 supported by the fee’s from the Snopark permits, so please buy a permit and support this effort. The short season makes buying permits even more crucial for next years program. A full season pass is the equivalent of 4 daily passes at the Stevens Nordic area.
The second reason you should by a permit is… 
Yep, no permit and you might find a ticket. I would guess the ticket funds go to the county not the State Park winter recreation program. Not every ticket is going to be the polite reminder to fill in your license plate on the SnoPermit.
