Piling placement, replacement or repair

by George Wilson on February 19, 2009

It’s time to get serious about getting our piling work done in the Spring if it’s going to get done.  I know there were quite a few docks and pilings damaged this winter by ice and high winds so if you were one of the impacted owners please let us know and I can provide you with information on the permit process, etc.  There is a significant ($5000) move-in fee for the equipment to do this which will be divided among the total number of jobs to be done so if you think you are going to need this kind of work done in the future this is a great time to move ahead with it.  I for one am weary of lake-bottom auger anchors that don’t hold all that well and have to constantly adjusted during Spring run off, etc.

If any of your neighbors had dock or pilings damage this winter and you think they may need info on our collective effort to get a pile driver back on the lake this year please do pass this email on to them.
