From my vantage point it looks like the fires in the Chiwawa River drainage area are generating a lot less smoke this morning. Click on the link below for additional information.

Early last evening new starts off Union Valley Road near Chelan quickly went to 3rd alarm, bringing fire personnel and apparatus from several districts in Chelan & Douglas counties. These fires are already escalating to state mobilization status which means bringing more personnel and apparatus from more distant locations.
There was heavy lightning during the night to the North and Northeast of the lake, don’t know if it was dry lightning or had any significant rain with it but would not be surprised if that activity ignited a few more start-up fires that might show themselves as the heat rises today.
