Chelan County residents have now received their mail-in ballots for the August 18th election day. One of the issues on that ballot is the proposal to overhaul Rivercom which is the dispatch center for all police, fire and medical aid services in the Lake Wenatchee area. If approved, the measure would fund the overhaul and upgrading of the entire system including an additional radio repeater in our upper valley area which would help eliminate some of the “dead spots” in areas where radio communication is currently not possible.
The Rivercom system is truly vital to all of us in the area- you may not have needed it yet but needing it only once makes having a reliable system priceless. I encourage you to support this system with your YES vote if you live and vote in Chelan County and to also encourage your neighbors to support this measure.
