The Chelan County Commissioners have invoked a ban on outdoor buning effective June 1. This precludes burning of slash, beach debris etc and permits fires only in approved-type fire pits. An approved-type fire pit is generally a ring of non-combustible material dug down far enough into the ground to be in mineral soil .
