I would also recommend checking the hinge pins* retainer clips, I found one clip had broken over the winter and a hinge pin was hanging half way out getting ready to explore the bottom of the lake.

Having watched the river for a decade or so now, we rarely reach the Peshastin height during spring melt. But the lake and river level will go up substantially right on schedule for Memorial Day.
