New YMCA Lodge Flooring

You  may recall the fire we had in our Lodge this past October.  Well I am  happy to say that the repairs are coming along well and we are getting ready  to re-open next month.  That being said I have two volunteer work  weekends coming up next month here at camp…one on April 11-12 and again on  April 18-19.  I wanted to get the word out to the community as I could  use all the help I can get my hands on in order to get camp opened back up  for the spring and summer.   I’ve posted some pictures of the remodel on the Camp web site a ">t LW Y Camp Website

Camp will be providing breakfast Saturday through lunch on Sunday  for all the volunteers as well as opening up the cabins for anyone who  wishes to stay the night.  Arrival at camp can happen as early as 5pm  on the Friday before each work weekend.  The work will start at 9am  Saturday, break for lunch, and continue until 5ish, and again on Sunday from  9am until 12 noon.  Please contact me at camp to RSVP so I can plan for  food, lodging, and jobs to be completed.  The number at Camp is  509.763.9622 or email directly at tmcelravy@lwycamp.org

I am still in  need of volunteers as well as a few tools like hand sanders and a log  splitter to get all the jobs done.  Plan on bringing work gloves and  grubby clothes, and warm sleeping bags/bedding for anyone staying the night.   The cabin are heat by wood stove and stay pretty warm.  Below is  a list of the jobs we need to complete.
