The No-snow Report

by George Wilson on February 13, 2008

We’ve not gotten any new snow to speak of since Feb 8th when we were at a cumulative 243.75 nches for the year. The snow on the ground then was varying between 4 and 6 feet at our place. The rain and warmer temps we have had in the last week five or six days has really settled the now- it’s probably compacted down a couple feet or so from what it was.

Had a non-measurable dusting of snow this AM and the temp is right at 30 degrees. Temps by the weekend are forecast to be in the high 40′s. The lake is still ice-covered but where we are that means slush covered with a little bit of snow.

Most of the roads have been widened out some by the county with graders now but that means some really big berms have been pushed up alongside the roads.

Will pass on any significant snow or weather activity when it happens…………
