10:30am Update: In the last hour the lake looks like it is beginning to ice up on the East end. check the web cam the time lapse movie available in the left side bar should be pretty interesting to watch too.
Good morning-Just a heads-up that we have been experiencing some sustained cold temperatures in the Lake Wenatchee area. This morning the temps in the area ranged from 2 degrees at our place on the South shore of Lake Wenatchee to -6 on the river near Chiwawa Pines. It has been very clear and very pretty but cold for several days. The heavy snow cover should provide some addditional protection to underground pipes. The lake has not frozen. Temps are forecast to rise after today with possibly some snow over the weekend.This week has been chilly but beautiful- we went snowshoeing two nights in the moonlight. It was beautiful- just like daylight and the snow just sparkling. Downhill skiing condtions at Stevens are great too………..George
