Closing of sockeye season

4:45 Update:  Friday is it, here is the official announcement.

I have it on pretty good authority that the sockeye season on Lake Wenatchee
will close one hour after sunset on Friday, August 15th. Will amend this
notice if that proves to be incorrect.

    Last week I was out late on Friday night wondering when “sunset” was.

    Thanks to the internet I now know. The Naval Observatory pegs sunset in Leavenworth on 8/15/08 at 8:14 PM.
