Caution: With summer over and cabin use lower, It is the time of year that break-ins often occur in the Lake Wenatchee area. On Tuesday night November 18th someone attempted to gain entry to a home on North Shore while one person was inside. Loud banging on the door was followed by the removal of the bathroom screen and a side window screen. The person in the home called a neighbor who immediate responded. The person or persons attempting to break in fled the scene. This is a good reminder to make sure that all doors and windows are locked and exercise some caution when answering the door late at night. Please be observant of what is going on in your area and make notes on any suspect activity or vehicles you see. Do not hesitate to call 911 if you feel the activity deserves attention by law enforcement.
