2008 Lake Wenatchee Ice Contest
With the weather beginning to warm, don’t miss your chance to enter in the 2008 version of the Lake Wenatchee Ice Break Charity Contest. Here are the three simple steps to play along:
- Pick a charity, donate a minimum of $10, four local suggestions are below but any charity is fine with us. Send your donation directly to the charity of your choice.
- Pick a date and a time, you expect the official flag to fall over when the ice breaks.
- Email your date, time, donation total (so we can promote totals), and charity name to admin@lakewenatcheeinfo.com
Most recent image can be accessed by clicking on the Web Wen Cam link, directly below the photo in Pic O Day post, images from the last hour are available on Rob’s Webcam page link . All entries can be seen on the event calendar. If the time you have picked has been taken, a coin will be flipped and you will be assigned the next available hour + with a heads, or - with a tail. All decisions by the judges are final. Earliest time of the day is 8am, latest is 5pm. In the unlikely event the flag falls over during the night, the last entry on the day before and the first entry of the day after will be declared co winners.
2007 Winner was Tazmin Darden on March 11, 2007 for the YMCA Camp. Using just email, last year approximately 40 players raised $800. Current ice state on North Shore is 6″ thick and solid farther out then we were willing to walk.
