Lost dogs………

Two dogs with tags identifying them as Lulu and Oscar Schneider of Latona
Avenue in Seattle have strayed to a home on the South Shore. Efforts to
contact the owners at the numbers on the tags have been unsuccesful. If they

Sockeye 2008?

Here at Lake Wenatchee Central we have been keeping our fingers crossed, hoping for a sockeye season.  Assuming the fish remember to make the left turn from the Columbia up the Wenatchee we should be in luck.  In order to avoid jinxing the season, please don’t buy your license and salmon punch card, YET.

Where to Hike this Weekend?

The combination of record snow fall and a cool spring (June-uary having become a new month name) has made finding places to hike without snow shoes is a bit of a challenge this year.
Dirty Face Trail #1500 : is open for business and almost snow free.  The wild flowers are spectacular.

Paddle Boat Found

The state park has a paddle boat that washed ashore earlier this spring.  It’s apparently in good shape.  Anyone missing a paddle boat should contact the park at 763-3101 and be prepared to provide some sort of proof of ownership.Thanks,Rick Halstead

Pile driving

Oliver Lewis has bought out the Dawson Pile Driving company of Lake Stevens
that did much of the pile driving that is on the lake. Hal Olsson has been
corresponding with him about having pilings placed, replaced or repaired. Mr
Lewis has agreed to be at the lake at 9AM July 5th to look at potential
