Driving up the Chumstick Highway from Leavenworth yesterday I saw some
utility trucks at about milepost 7 stringing some cable. I went back and
asked if they were stringing power or fiber and it’s FIBER, headed for Plain

Looks like ice fishing is done for the season. The last people off the lake reported one of them fell through up to their chest. Fortunately, his friends were close by and got him out quick. I imagin the water is pretty cold still.

PUD moving line crew for efficiency

3/7/2008
Chelan County PUD announced Friday that it plans to consolidate the
Leavenworth line crew with the Wenatchee-based line crews for efficiency and
cost-savings. Three linemen will report to work in Wenatchee beginning March
17.
The Leavenworth PUD office will remain open, with vehicles and equipment
