Winter Rec Advisory Panel
Attached is an announcement for a vacancy on the Washington State Winter Recreation Advisory Committee, representing Chelan, Okanogan, Douglas and Grant counties. The committee is a group of Nordic ski enthusiasts who play an essential role in advising State Parks in the administration, distribution of funds, development of facilities, and non-motorized sport opportunities. The SnoPark program provides opportunities statewide on national, state, and private lands. The group meets at least twice yearly.

I apologize for not getting this out sooner - I just returned from vacation last night. The deadline for “nominations” is December 18. The folks at the above number can provide more information about the nomination process. It would be great to see someone from our area who is a real enthusiast for the sport and familiar with trail opportunities and needs throughout the region on the committee.
