Today’s Note from George has important info on Snow Parking so we are repeating it here.
Good morning-
Since 8AM yesterday we have received 1.25 inches of snow. Temp this AM is about 28 degrees and it’s snowing moderately at this time. The forecast calls for snow on and off through the rest of the week but there is no inundating snowfall predicted.
A reminder: The berms along the road are building up now and to avoid any unpleasant experiences for you over the holidays here just want to mention that last year the sheriffs department came in several times (to the South shore, anyway) and wrote tickets along the road for parking on the traveled roadway because some cars were parked so much on the road that the plows could not get by them. I think many of them were renters who weren’t aware of the ramifications of it and didn’t make any other provisions for off-road parking- like shoveling a parking place. There were also some situations last year with folks coming in and parking in areas that others had plowed out or paid to have plowed out- please be courteous.
The plows to date have not cleaned out the smaller turn-outs. If I can catch one of them I’ll ask if they will be able to do that before folks arrive for the holidays.
Merry Christmas!!
UPDATE: 9:30 AM Dec 18th The forecast earlier this morning called for 1-3 inches of snow today. It now shows 6-10 inches possible so this could turn into a pretty significant snowfall. George
We quite frequently have car parked
along the road in front of our mailboxed.
What number do I call to report them.
Thanks, Sharon Deiner
