Sheirff’s Department public meeting
Good morning-
Following is an announcement of a meeting opportunity to share any thoughts you wish to with the Sheriff’s Department. I recall Mike Harum saying at a forum of candidates for his office held several years ago here at the Rec Club that if he were elected he would have two deputies on days and two on nights every day and every night in the Lake Wenatchee/Plain area. I think it’s time we remind him of that campaign carrott. I have called dispatch many times to complain about speeding on the South Shore Road but still have seen no speed enforcement whatsoever. Our local Deputy Paul Rohrbach tries I think to do what he can but he works in the area he is instructed to and with Leavenworth contracting for police services with the County and must receive so many hours of service- that’s where the deputies are.

Public Service Announcement
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Citizens Advisory Committee will be
conducting a “Town Hall” meeting on August 15, 2007, for the residents of
the Lake Wenatchee - Plain - Stevens Pass communities
The meeting will be held at 7:00 PM in the meeting room at the
Chelan County Fire District # 9, Station # 1 (Headquarters), 21696 Lake
Wenatchee Highway (Lake Wenatchee). Fire station phone # 763-3034.
Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum, a member of his staff or a CCSO
representative will be attending and available to hear citizens’ concerns
and to answer questions citizens may have for the Sheriff’s Office. If
available, the area Deputy or his supervisor will attend.

to advise the Chelan County Sheriff*s Office on issues of concern to the
Sheriff, the staff and deputies and the community as well as to provide an
open communications link between the Sheriff*s Office and the community.”
