Possible delays on US 2 near Stevens Pass summit
With it being Friday and some of you probably headed over thought I would pass this on though I can’t tell you the current status of the problem or when it will change.
I crossed Stevens summitt about an hour ago and they were in the process of trying to clear a large semi that had earlier collided with a passenger vehicle. It appeared that they were having to off-load a load of apples from the truck trailer before they could move it. One lane of traffic at a time was being allowed through, alternating Eastbound and Westbound, so there was a significant delay. When I arrived home I looked at the DOT site and they are not showing any delays or problems on Stevens at all on there so really don’t know what to tell you about when it will clear other than it looked like it would be a while yet and if the snow forecast for tonight develops it could delay full re-opening of the road more yet.
